| Be A Community Investment
Volunteer
There is still time to
help our community by becoming a volunteer in the 2011 Community
Investment Process. Join your neighbors, co-workers, friends and
family to help United Way determine where to invest voluntary
contributions in community services. Citizen review of the programs
provided by affiliated agencies is a crucial part of the United Way's
process of investing money donated for community services. We need
volunteers, such as you, to give feedback to agencies on the
effectiveness of their programs and help decide how much money each
agency should receive to provide programs and services to the community.
The 2010 Community Investment Process will be conducted during February
and March, preceded by training in January. Volunteers, should they
choose to, can review program funding applications online, thus allowing
greater flexibility and efficient use of your time. Computer access is
recommended to make to make your experience most rewarding. Volunteer
teams will meet in three to four sessions to finalize comments on
program outcomes and to make program funding and general
recommendations.
Program outcomes will be the major focus of the 2011 process with
agencies providing the status of outcomes identified for 2010. Please
complete the Volunteer Recruitment Form below, selecting up to 2 team
preferences, if any.
Volunteer participants in the 2011 CI Process are expected to attend
a training session in January, which will include the online application
review. Volunteers who sign up for the CI Process will be sent written
confirmation of participation and notice of training dates.
Volunteers must live or work in Summit County and are expected to be
contributors to the United Way campaign. Minimum age is 19. Contact the
Community Impact Division today for more information at 330.643.5510 or
