Woman Philanthropist of the Year Award

The Women’s Leadership Giving Society of United Way of Summit County will be presenting the Woman Philanthropist of the Year Award at its Annual “Power of the Purse” Luncheon on July 9, 2008.  We are seeking nominations for this prestigious award.

All nominations must be received by May 23, 2008

Intent: To recognize a woman who has demonstrated a passionate desire to help others through her financial support and service to non-profit organizations and institutions, including United Way, within Summit County.

Eligibility:  Any woman who displays the characteristics consistent with the intent of the award, is a resident of or employed within  Summit County and demonstrates philanthropic support in a variety of areas of the community, including United Way of Summit County, is eligible for the award.  Due to the active, ongoing nature of the award and its intent, candidates nominated posthumously will not be considered.

Past award recipients include Rochelle Stone, Carol Yassine, Laura Culp, Susan Summerville and Elizabeth Bartz.
