Intent:
To recognize a young philanthropist, 40 years or younger,
who has demonstrated a passionate desire to help others
through financial support of United Way and service to non-profit organizations and institutions within Summit County.
Criteria:
Any young philanthropist who is a current United Way donor
living or working in Summit County and demonstrating active
volunteer support of United Way or other non-profit
organization(s) is eligible to be nominated for this award.
Donor status will be verified by United Way of Summit
County.
Recognition:
Recipient will be recognized and awarded at the
United Way Annual Meeting on April 25, 2012.
The nomination/selection process is as
follows:

A completed nomination form must be
submitted by mail, fax, email or through the United Way
of Summit County website by February 24, 2012.

Three (3) letters of reference
describing the nominee’s philanthropic contributions to
our community must be submitted by mail, fax or email by
March 16, 2012.

No more than one letter may be
from an employer, and at least one must be from an
agency at which the nominee actively volunteers.

Letters of reference may be
submitted by the nominator or the nominee

Finalists (as determined by the
selection committee) will be asked to meet with the
selection committee for a personal interview during the
week of March 26, 2012.
