UNITED WAY OF SUMMIT COUNTY BOARD ENDORSES ISSUE 17

United Way of Summit County’s Board of Trustees has endorsed Issue 17, the City of Akron income tax increase measure to be voted on by the citizens on May 8, 2007.

United Way of Summit County President Bob Kulinski said, “"Our Public Policy Committee met with Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic and recommended that United Way of Summit County support and endorse Issue 17 as consistent with our mission and with our reliance on economic development and our goal of financial stability for all families in Summit County.  Certainly we support the proposed expansion of services to increase neighborhood safety, to expand after school programs for at-risk children, and to increase job retention and creation."
