Position Title: Coordinator, Family Services

PURPOSE OF POSITION: The purpose of this position is to assist students and families in designated school(s) by developing, coordinating and providing a comprehensive set of wraparound services to address non-academic barriers.  The Coordinator will support the launch and ongoing development of the Family Resource Center as a hub of the school--uniting educators, community partners, and families to provide all students with quality academic supports, enrichment, health and social services, and opportunities to learn and thrive.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Percentage of Time

45% 1. Develop relationships with school administrators, staff, students, families and community stakeholders to develop and coordinate a comprehensive and strategic set of services to address non-academic barriers for students and their families, including (but not limited to) family engagement activities, youth development opportunities, adult education, early childhood programs, and basic needs.

20%  2. Collaborate with a team of school personnel, service providers and community stakeholders to document, monitor and assess direct and indirect wraparound services for students and families. Resource referral and navigation, data driven practices, promoting inclusive leadership and shared accountability for results are key elements of the collaborative efforts.

15% 3. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to make changes to individual and team practices. Utilize data and outcomes to inform decision making with partners, internal program staff and families.

10% 4. Oversee and coordinate volunteer activities by acting as liaison between community agencies, partners and staff. Train volunteers prior to assignments and act as resource person.

10% 5. Track measurable outcomes and provide reports as needed. Maintain accurate and timely service coordination and partnership records. Participate in regular supervision and team meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field and three years of experience working with youth and families who have complex needs.
• Experience working with children, youth and families in a school setting is highly preferred.
• Small and large group work experience.
• Commitment to excellence and passion for the mission of United Way of Summit County.
• Competent in MS Office products.
• Interest in the improvement of the Summit County children, families and community.

PHYSICAL/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Position is primarily a normal office setting, requiring long periods of sedentary work at a desk and computer.
• Ability to routinely travel throughout multi-floor office, walking, climbing stairs.
• Must be able to sit, stand, reach with hands and arms, bend and stoop.
• Minimal lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Must be willing to work non-standard work schedule including nights, weekends, and other unusual hours on occasion.
• After-hours event attendance occasionally.
• Some overnight travel may be required.
• Valid driver’s license with daily access to private insured vehicle during work hours.
• Access to reliable insured automobile to be used for work-related travel in summit County area.

Position Title: Specialist, Major Gifts & Strategic Engagement

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To ensure that Tocqueville Society and United Way Direct members and prospects receive the highest level of personalized, consistent and accurate customer service, accuracy and attention to detail including but not limited to recording and tracking gifts, designations, payouts, gift acknowledgement, event planning and participation, donor recognition and grant assistance.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Percentage of Time

35%  1. Assist with Tocqueville and United Way Direct relationships:  Builds relationships with Tocqueville Society and United Way Direct members through personal interaction and providing the highest quality customer service.  Accurately records and manages Tocqueville Society and United Way Direct members contact information, personal data and relationship notes in Andar database. Accurately records and manages designation requests, special handling requests and payout preferences. Provides staff support to the Tocqueville Society Cabinet and United Way Direct committee; tracks and manages prospect lists, manages renewals and follow up process. Collaborates with finance/accounts payable staff in managing policies/procedures related to Tocqueville Society and United Way Direct members. Manages formal and informal thank you process for all Tocqueville Society and United Way Direct members. Responsible for timely thank you letters to new and renewing donors. 

30%  2. Engagement: Manages all activities associated with Tocqueville Society events working with AVP Major Gifts and Strategic Planning. Attends Tocqueville Society events and assigned community activities. Sends event invitation, manages RSVPs and is point of contact with vendor.

20% 3. Support: Accurately records and manages gifts, pledges and payment preferences in Andar. Manages designation requests, special handling requests and payout preferences. Collaborates on the annual publication of the Leaders in Giving donor directory and manages the data included in the Tocqueville Society section. Assist with needs of the Director of Grants.

15% 4. Reporting, data analysis and research, as necessary for Major Gifts, United Way Direct, Planned Giving and Grants. 
JOB RELATIONSHIPS WITH: Corporate & Community Engagement Team, Tocqueville donors, United Way Direct donors, Foundations and Finance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business management, organization management or other related field required.
• 2 years of experience in working building relationships and event management.
• Experience in non-profit sector preferred.
• Competent in MS Office products.
• Interest in the improvement of the Summit County community.
