Tocqueville Society
Recognition Event |
$5,000
|
The Summit
County Tocqueville Society is comprised of more than 95 donors
who contribute $10,000 or more to the annual campaign. Each year, UWSC
hosts a cocktail party to thank these major donors for their generosity.
Sponsorship of this event will give a business visibility with the
highest of company executives and philanthropic leaders in the
community. |
| Annual
Meeting |
$5,000 |
Another high
profile event, as 300-400 community leaders attend. A good opportunity
for high visibility sponsorship. This sponsor’s name/logo would be
displayed on the invitations, program, and on the stage, as well as
being recognized as the sponsor during the event. |
| Annual
Report |
$5,000 |
5,000 copies
are printed and delivered to corporate leaders, top
donors and other United Way supporters as well as being handed out at
the Annual Meeting. Sponsors logo will be prominently displayed on the
Annual Report. |
| Knight
Breakfast |
$5,000 |
Traditional,
unofficial kick-off to the annual campaign has featured a variety of
speakers, from Jim Tressel and Butch Reynolds to Bill Considine. During
the past few years, attendance has ranged from 300 to 500-plus. |
| Day
of Caring
|
$5,000
|
This is one of our
most high-profile events. Almost always garners media coverage, and more
than 1,000 volunteers work throughout the community at scores of
non-profit agencies. Most of the volunteers wear a ‘Day of Caring’
t-shirt that would include the sponsor’s logo. |
| Docs
Who Rock |
$5,000 |
Local
physicians are invited to perform, and other doctors are honored for
their volunteer activities, so much of the audience for this event is
upscale. Response to ‘Docs Who Rock’ has been overwhelming, more than 1,500 people attended the 2006 event. |
| The
Women’s Leadership Giving Society Luncheon |
$5,000 |
The Women’s
Leadership Giving Society is comprised of women donors who contribute $1,000 or
more to the annual campaign. An annual luncheon is hosted for 200-300
participants for the purpose of honoring the
efforts of women philanthropists. Sponsorship of this event will give a
business visibility with women donors from the managerial and executive
ranks of local companies and organizations. |
| Volunteer
Celebration
|
$5,000 |
For the past five years, the United Way of Summit County Volunteer Center has
celebrated hundreds of volunteers representing local individuals,
groups, companies and the faith community at its Volunteer Celebration.
It is anticipated that this celebration will continue to grow to over
500 individuals in attendance. Sponsorship of the Volunteer Celebration
provides the sponsor’s name and logo prominently displayed in all
promotional materials and an invitation to speak at the event, as
appropriate. |
| Loaned
Executives |
$3,000 |
Loaned
Executives work with the campaign staff in the fall during peak campaign
time.
The LE program makes it possible for United Way to keep overhead
costs down.
Companies that sponsor a LE get name and or logo on business
cards and all Loaned Executive publicity. |
| Posters |
$3,000 |
Posters are made
available to all businesses and organizations that run United Way
campaigns. Company’s logo will appear on all the posters printed and
distributed. |
| Project
Blueprint |
$3,000 |
Project Blueprint
is a minority volunteer development program designed to accelerate
non-profit board involvement of African-Americans, Asians, Hispanics and
Native Americans. By utilizing Blueprint graduates, non-profit
organizations become more inclusive, responsive and reflective of the
culturally diverse communities which they serve. Sponsor helps pay for
the 10-week training sessions as well as opening and closing
celebrations. |
| Basketball
Skills Competition
|
$2,500 |
This has been one
of our most publicly visible events, drawing more than 500 to Cascade
Plaza over the past three years. Promotion goes out to 15 - 20 companies
participating. In addition to – or as a portion of – the sponsorship
money given to United Way, the sponsor could host a hot dog roast,
giving hot dogs, sodas and chips to the public in attendance at the
basketball skills competition. |
