  • Inspire youth to become leaders in our community

  • Educate and increase awareness of the community need among the younger population

  • Encourage philanthropy and volunteerism at a young age

  • Increase involvement and understanding of United Way among youth

The 2012 Youth Initiative Allocation Team

Here's what they had to say about their experience:

"I learned how to spend money with a budget."

"I enjoyed being able to communicate with students in different grade levels."

"I found that leadership and communication are very important in the meeting."

"I learned more about the agencies and United Way."

"I liked best deciding how much money each agency would get."

Here's How You Can Get Involved:

  • Volunteer: Help make YOUR community a better place by volunteering time at an area non-profit organization!

  • Fund Raise: Host a fundraiser at your school, club, organization, or with friends to help benefit United Way of Summit County, local community agencies, and YOUR community!
