Inside Business Magazine, United Way honor 2015 Pinnacle Award winners

Inside Business Magazine and United Way of Summit County honored individuals and organizations across Summit County with the Pinnacle Awards at a breakfast today at the Hilton Akron Fairlawn.

The awards recognize those who serve the greater good and promote corporate social responsibility.

Lashawrida Fellows, the finance and human resource manager for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Western Reserve, received the Andrea R. Teodosio Rising Star Award.

Ohio Ninth District Court of Appeals Judge Carla Moore received the John F. Seiberling Award for Excellence in Elected Public Service.

Main Street Gourmet CEO Steven Marks received the Lisle M. Buckingham Leadership Award.

Among private sector honorees, Wells Fargo Advisors received the award for large company; other finalists were Cardinal Health at Home and Western Reserve Hospital.

The midsize company award went to Cohen & Company; other finalists were AT&T and Main Street Gourmet.

City Scrap & Salvage won in the small company category, which included finalists Sequoia Financial Group and TRIAD/Next Level.

The Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority received the public sector award.

Rockynol Retirement Community received the award for large nonprofits; the Battered Women’s Shelter of Summit and Medina Counties was also a finalist.

WAPS 91-.3 The Summit won the small nonprofit category; other finalists were the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition and Truly Reaching You Ministries.
