$400,000.
The 2007 Leo E. Dugan Award will be presented to Don Bingman. Don is a
39-year member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, Branch 148.

Food Drive, which has collected over one million pounds of food, locally,
since its inception in 1993.
He is a graduate of the Tri-County Regional Labor Council, AFL-CIO Union

Run a 2007 Pacesetter Campaign
As
a Pacesetter for the 2007 Annual Campaign you set the pace for everyone else! Running your campaign in the late summer
has great advantages, including energizing your employees half-way
through the year, taking advantage of the warm weather for special events
and breathing new life into your traditional fall campaign.
Pacesetters receive unique recognition opportunities through media and our
website and will be invited to our campaign
kick-off event as a special thank you. Pacesetter campaigns should be
completed by September 14, 2007. Your United Way representative
will review your
campaign history and determine a realistic
goal for your 2007 campaign. The goal is based on increasing participation by 5% or
increasing campaign growth by 10%.
If your company would like
to run a Pacesetter Campaign, contact Katie Rennard, Vice President Resource
Development at 330.643.5517 or email
krennard@uwsummit.org.

Make a Difference in the Lives of Others
At United Way of Summit County we know
our donors want to make a difference now in the lives of others. In addition to
their annual gift, many long-time donors choose to remember United Way in their
Will or estate plan in order to help meet the challenges and opportunities that
the future will deliver.
This is done simply by inserting a "charitable bequest" in your Will and stating
that a certain dollar amount -- or a percentage of your estate after you have
remembered friends and loved ones -- shall pass to United Way. When you draft or
revise your Will, your attorney will know how to handle the wording for the
charitable bequest to United Way of Summit County.
All bequests to United Way are tax-deductible and benefit neighbors and friends
close to home. Please remember that you need not be wealthy to make a meaningful
bequest to United Way. Regardless of the amount, your bequest will be an
investment in the future of our community.
Have you already remembered United Way in your Will or estate plan? Please let
us know so we can honor your generosity and recognize you as a member of the
Evergreen Society. For more information visit our website at
www.uwsummit.org and click on "Planned
Giving" or contact Charlene Corlett, Vice President Major Gifts, at 330.643.5537
or ccorlett@uwsummit.org. |
