Sarah Catherine Teixeira
Sarah Catherine Teixeira leads United Way’s Corporate & Community Engagement team in creating innovative approaches to fundraising that break the traditional role of United Way as a once-a-year presence in companies. She directs strategies around individual and corporate engagement, major and leadership-level giving, workplace campaigns and United Way’s engagement events.
Sarah Catherine joined United Way of Summit County in 2015. An experienced development professional, her United Way career started at United Way of Metropolitan Nashville where she was most recently associate director overseeing the Workplace Engagement team. She was responsible for leading a development team that helped raise more than $16 million annually to invest into the community.
Prior to her work with United Way, Sarah Catherine taught English as a Second Language (ESL) to students of all ages in Central America. She also held a position as account manager for Dell, Inc. and was a campaign manager for The ONE campaign with the United Nations Foundation.
Sarah Catherine holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and Spanish from Lipscomb University and received a mini master of business administration degree from Belmont University. She has spent the majority of her life volunteering with the Boys Home Jovenes en Camino in Zamorano, Honduras. She has had past membership with the Nashville Junior Chamber, United Way’s Young Leaders Society and the Preston Taylor Ministries Mentor Program.
