Albrecht Incorporated Finishes Another Successful Campaign

Albrecht Incorporated recently wrapped up another successful United Way annual campaign. The company increased its results by 2% and raised more than $18,200. This family owned business has a rich legacy of supporting the local community through United Way.  Thank you to President Jim Nilsen for his leadership support and to Merilee Baily for coordinating the effort.  Great job to all the employees who gave selflessly to help area residents and to advance the common good!


Chemstress Campaign Increases by 51%

Chemstress Consultant Company has provided support to our community through United Way for many years. This year the company finished its campaign efforts by raising more than $59,000!  This represents an increase of 51% over the previous year.  Thank you to Chemstress employees for their generosity. A special thank you to CEO, Robert Handelman for his continued support and to Oriana Smith who coordinated the campaign.


Dr. Pepper Snapple Group "Bands Together" for United Way

Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, located in Twinsburg, pulled out all the stops in order to ‘Band Together’ for the 2015 United Way campaign this year. They held United Way campaign kickoff meetings for ALL of their divisions representing 238 employees.  The campaign received tremendous support from area director Gib Tecca and co-campaign coordinatorsSusan Joseph and James Ellison. The company's campaign theme was "Band Together."  Results  include a 184% increase in employee giving and an increase in participation to 53% up from 24%. Many thanks for an outstanding campaign!





GPD Group completed its annual campaign with a 5% increase raising more than $159,000 in Summit County. Thirteen years of continual campaign increases, annual volunteer participation in Day of Action, Read to me Day ansd Corporate Dertby Challege and 100% employee matching proves that GPD Group and its employees truly LIVE UNITED!



PPG Industries Launches Campaign With Pancake Breakfast

PPG Industries in Barberton launched its United Way Campaign with a pancake breakfast.  Staff, family, and retirees were all invited to come and enjoy their choice of blueberry, strawberry, pumpkin, or chocolate chip pancakes. In addition to pancakes, staff were provided with free flu shots. Each donation to United Way gave staff a chance to win a variety of gifts including a day off and a Browns mini fridge. Participants also purchased tickets for a chance to win their 50/50 raffle. Thank you to president Theodore Ladd and organizer Betty Naswadi for creating such a wonderful event!
