United Way of Summit County’s highest priority is the health and safety of its program clients, volunteers, donors, community partners and staff. We continue to closely monitor the developing situation with regards to COVID-19 and are staying abreast of official guidance from state and federal health officials.
In light of the recently imposed restrictions on large gatherings and the recommendation to maintain social distance, we feel it is in the best interests of our community to postpone our Annual Meeting, previously scheduled for April 22, 2020. The new date for the Annual Meeting is Thursday, August 13, 2020.
United Way staff will begin to notify guests as soon as possible. We will reach out to organizations and individual attendees to arrange for their sponsorship or ticket purchases to be used for the event when it is rescheduled.
We encourage you to stay informed about the developing public health situation and to protect yourself and others around you by taking the appropriate precautions to prevent the spread of germs and disease. You can text “covid19” to 211-211 to receive updated information specific to your zip code.
