Position Title: Receptionist
Employment Type: Part time (Monday – Friday 5.5 hours per day)
Department: Administration

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To make a great first impression! Our reception desk is the central hub of our building and the first stop for all visitors, so the receptionist position is critical to ensuring that visitors to the building have an overwhelmingly positive experience. Receptionist is a cheerful, professional individual to answer the door and phone and manage the guest experience.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Percentage of Time

40%  1. Guest Experience Management:  Answer the front door politely and professionally. Alert the appropriate staff member via phone that their meeting has arrived. The supervisor will train this individual on our standard office protocol.

30%  2. Answer Main Phone Line: Answer the main phone line in a consistent and polite manner. Learn the various functions performed by each staff member and be able to utilize the phone system to transfer the call to the appropriate staff member. Opportunities will be available for this individual to meet with each staff member to learn about how the organization functions. In addition, this individual will receive information related to a limited scope of frequently asked questions and will be expected to answer these questions utilizing provided materials. 

20% 3. General Office Assistance: Assist with volume copying, mailings, and sorting as needed. This work will be explained and coordinated by the supervisor and will need to be done between answering the phone and door.  The front desk area is expected to be presentable even in the midst of working on a mailing or sorting task. 

10% 4. Special Projects: Because of the nature of our organization, there are special projects that arise which require ‘all hands on deck’. We expect that this individual will embrace our team atmosphere and help as needed when special events or projects could benefit from their assistance. These projects often highlight the organization’s involvement in the community and provide an opportunity to learn about how our United Way plays a role in moving Summit County forward.   

JOB RELATIONSHIPS WITH: All internal staff of United Way of Summit County and all guests to the building. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of MS Office products.
• Flexible schedule between the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. to accommodate business needs. Schedule will be assigned at least two weeks in advance. Throughout 5 business days, hours will average 5.5 hours per day, not to exceed 29.75 hours per week.
• Interest in the improvement of the Summit County community.

Position Title: Specialist, 2-1-1
Employment Type: Full Time
Department: Community Impact
Supervisor: Brittany Trask

PURPOSE OF POSITION: Assist individuals seeking assistance in navigating available community resources, including assessing their individual needs, searching for services in our community resource database, conducting intakes as appropriate, and providing appropriate referrals. Service is provided primarily by phone but may also be provided by text message, live chat, email or in-person.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Percentage of Time

75 %  1. Community Resource Navigation: Receive and respond to incoming 2-1-1 calls, texts, chats and emails from individuals, families, and community organizations seeking assistance to address a wide variety of needs. Assesses their individual needs, provides appropriate referrals to available services through the 2-1-1 resource database, and documents all demographic information, unmet needs, and referrals provided.

20 % 2. Screening, Intake, and Follow Up: Conduct screenings for a variety of community initiatives (such as early intervention, smoking cessation, cancer prevention, financial empowerment) and promote preventive programs to help improve the individual’s and family’s health, education, income and overall well-being. Conducts intakes for specific programs as assigned. Conducts follow up with clients to see that needed services were received and to provide additional referrals. Conducts advocacy for individuals experiencing difficulties or lacking abilities to make effective contacts with agencies.

5 % 3. Special Projects: Communicate resource database changes to the resource staff and assist with community resource database updates. Assist with filing, data entry, mailings, and surveys. Represent agency at events in the community such as health fairs.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS WITH: Coordinator, 2-1-1; Community Impact Department; All internal staff of United Way of Summit County; Staff and volunteers of local Nonprofit Organizations and Government Agencies in Summit County and in the 2-1-1 resource database

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social or Human Services or related field preferred.
• Experience in information and referral agency preferred.
• Ability to obtain the Community Resource Specialist credential from AIRS within the first 12-14 months of employment.
• Flexible schedule between the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. to accommodate business needs. Schedule will be assigned at least two weeks in advance. Schedule will include a rotating on-call week to accommodate emergencies and call offs. Throughout 7 business days, hours will total 37.5 hours per week.
• Competent in MS Office products.
• Interest in the improvement of the Summit County community.

• Must be willing to work non-standard work schedule including nights, weekends, and other unusual hours on occasion. This includes the on-call shift which is approximately six to twelve weeks a year to cover any shift needed.
• Must report to work and be willing to work non-standard hours in case of a community wide disaster.
• After-hours event attendance occasionally.

Position Title: Manager, Corporate Engagement
Employment Type: Full time
Department: Corporate & Community Engagement

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To engage and build relationships with investors, partners, advocates, and volunteers to bring awareness to the work of UWSC and increase campaign revenue for concentrated accounts. Maintain and cultivate existing investors’ relationships while generating new individual relationships and corporate partnerships.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Percentage of Time

60%  1. Corporate Account Management: Increase campaign involvement and revenue by developing strategic plans and objectives, which align with companies’ needs and corporate social responsibility goals.

- Research and communicate with investors to learn more about them as donors and their interests to add value to campaigns while leveraging best practice strategies of UWSC to volunteer, advocate, and give.

- Deliver supplies, attend events and monitor progress and follow up though out duration of campaign.

- Research accounts to stay up to date on current status of business/organization and employment.

25%  2. Relationship Building: Builds relationships with multiple levels of investors, advocates, donors and volunteers (minimum of 4 per week). Delivers effective individual and group presentations which are powerful and impactful to drive support of UWSC.

10% 3. Community Engagement:  Support UWSC’s Engagement Events by recruiting volunteers from assigned portfolio. Assist in set up and execution of Engagement events, as needed.

5% 4. Reporting: Consistently provide quality projections and reports for campaigns to Corporate Engagement Director Maintains accurate communication notes and complete account information in the Andar (CRM Database System).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business management, organization management, sales management or another related field required.
