United Way of Summit County today announced its senior leadership team under Jim Mullen, new President and CEO. All members of the team are United Way veteran professionals, with at least three years of individual experience and, along with Mullen, collectively boasting more than 30 years of experience in the United Way system.
"United Way’s senior leadership team is comprised of highly creative, productive and accomplished professionals with a shared commitment to our donors and our community," said Mullen. "These are important appointments for United Way as they bring the necessary expertise, leadership and depth that will help us drive to the next level of community impact."
Ann Manby, Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer – Manby has been United Way’s CFO since 2012, providing oversight of the organization’s total managed financial resources. She will now also serve as COO and will oversee management of the organization’s operations including IT, human resources and facilities.
Beth Boggins, Vice President, Marketing and Brand Management – Boggins will retain her current position and will continue to lead communications, marketing and brand strategy. Boggins was with United Way from 2006 to 2008. She returned to the organization in 2013.
Nichole Booker, Vice President, Strategy and Public Policy – Booker has been promoted to this newly-created position. She will lead strategic planning and advocacy efforts to advance the organization’s priority issue areas of education, financial stability and community health. Booker has served as Senior Director of Collective Impact since she joined the organization in 2013.
Brian Duchon, Vice President, Collective Impact – Duchon leads United Way’s collective impact agenda and its multi-million dollar programmatic investments. He comes to United Way of Summit County from United Way of Portage County where he served as President and CEO. Duchon was previously on staff at United Way of Summit County and United Way of Frederick County in Frederick, Maryland.
Sarah Catherine Teixeira, Vice President, Resource Development – Teixeira leads United Way’s resource development team in creating innovative approaches to promote individual and corporate engagement. She was recruited from United Way of Greater Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee where she most recently served as Assistant Director, Workplace Engagement.
Teixeira is filling the position that will be vacated by Katie Rennard who will retire at the end of the year after 12 years of service with United Way of Summit County. Rennard has 25 years of experience overall within the United Way system. During her career, she also served on staff with United Way of Greater Chattanooga TN, United Way of Roanoke Valley VA, United Way of Harrisburg & Rockingham County VA and United Way of Waynesboro VA.
