New initiative’s name, logo and purpose statement announced at Heart to Heart’s Annual Breakfast.

Speaking to a crowd of 500 in the John S. Knight Center during Heart to Heart Leadership’s Annual Breakfast, executive director Jeremy Lile, laid out the future of the organization as it approaches its June 1 merger with United Way of Summit & Medina.

Following the merger, United Way of Summit & Medina will launch a new initiative led by Lile, named the Center for Immersive Leadership (CIL). The initiative has as its purpose “developing inclusive leaders who achieve collective goals for transformational change with our communities.” Combining the strengths of United Way’s trainings and workshops, Heart to Heart’s programming and new offerings to be developed going forward, CIL will train and nurture purpose-driven and impactful servant leaders, who will work to improve the lives of as many people as possible.

“We are excited about the exponential possibilities that come from this merger,” said Lile. “And we plan to not only continue to offer the slate of high quality and empowering programs and services that you have come to expect from us, but to be able to offer even more opportunities under this new initiative.”

Thanking them for their support, Lile invited attendees to stay tuned for more information in the months to come, and to join him and United Way of Summit & Medina for a future annual breakfast next year, focused on the work of CIL.

“Heart to Heart Leadership has left an indelible mark on this community since its founding over 35 years ago,” said Jim Mullen, president and CEO of United Way of Summit & Medina. “United Way is proud to be a part of its next chapter. Together, we will work to build a coalition of leaders – in every field and in every part of our community – who will dedicate themselves to creating a better Summit and Medina County for all.”

In our community. With our community. For our community.
